LONDON FESTIVAL OF CABARET

LONDON FESTIVAL OF CABARET

London, 3rd December 2013... The second London Festival of Cabaret, featuring a huge list of stars performing on London stages over a four week period in May 2014, is seeking commercial partners.

Cabaret is in full renaissance and the London Festival of Cabaret 2014 will star big names including celebrated Broadway composer/lyricist Adam Guettel at The Ambassadors Theatre in May 2014.

Nigel Jones, managing director of Purple Tangerine, says: The Festival is a fantastic opportunity for national brands to associate with an affluent London audience with a taste for glamour across a wide age range.

The inaugural London Festival of Cabaret, which ran 13 October - 17 November 2013, was a huge success celebrating The Great American and European Songbooks with performances from Michael Feinstein, Elaine Paige, Julian Ovenden, Alexander Armstrong, Janie Dee and many others.

Certain shows appeal more to particular demographics. Stars of the musical Wicked, Kerry Ellis and Rachel Tucker are both standout Cabaret stars who have performed their very personal shows at The Hippodrome and The St James Theatre respectively and appeal to a predominantly female 16 - 24 fan base who are avid users of social media. Whereas more seasoned Cabaret performers who draw on traditions of comedy, music and satire as well as music hall and song such as Elaine Paige and Michael Feinstein tend to attract a more affluent sophisticated audience that is 35 plus.

Venues are springing up all over London including hotspots such as: The London Hippodrome; Brasserie Zedel; The St James Theatre; Soho Theatre; The Pheasantry; and the soon to be opened Wellesley on the site of the late Pizza On The Park.
